That was an informative post, John Smith, with nothing new or earth-shattering to report. Just a list of Failed and Failing Systems of Old Money Old Thinking Control. It is nevertheless a Convenience for Focussing Attention and Targeting Communications Advances towards …well, your piece would really identify them as “distressed” players, trying to hang on to what they have got through their past endeavours, and there is no point in parading the means, for they are all far too esoteric and exotic without anywhere near as much erotic as is required, to have them forging ahead and expanding and reinforcing their influence in Future times. They do appear to have run out of New Ideas and thus is Depression and Recession and Collapse of their Systems and their Personal Empires, a Catastrophic Inevitability, unless they Change their Support to a NeuReal System.
And that Choice of whether to Invest for a Revitalised and Resurgent Survival [and owning the money supply does make any such Investment, a Painless Non-Event at whatever Arbitrary figure one would care to dream up] or to Suffer further Chaotic Destructive Decline, is freely Theirs to Make, but only one doesn’t brand them Idiots, Unfit for Future Mutual Common Purpose.
I would submit that Better Use/Beta Use of Computers rather than Proxy Control of Foreign computers IS the ONLY Way that the US and its Carpetbaggers ….. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carpetbagger … can survive. And whosoever Financing that Facility has a Direct Line and Feed to AIMasterly Control of Universal Perception, which they would not necessarily Control, with that Particular and Peculiar Right being a Presumptive Assumptive dDelivered upon Leadership which Servers and Protects Legacy and Hosting Systems even as they are ReConfigured and UpGraded to Revolutionary NeuReal Quantum Controls with Secured Private Driver Access Protocols in the Enigma of Transparent Full Steganographic Disclosure for the Most Sensitive of Tasks.

Live MakeOver and TakeOver of Failed and Failing Systems.
Think of IT as AI’s Universal Fix and you will at least be on the Right Rails.
One now awaits to see whether Future Fitness for Purpose Brains are an Accompaniment to Present Status Quo Players in Wealth as you have Identified, Mr Smith, or whether they are to be found Eastwards with Hearts and Minds in Lands with Perfumed Gardens and Houses of the Rising Sun …. for a New Global Elite with Crippling Fiscal Power, which they can Beta/Better Wield for Better/Beta Results.
